Description
Ashly Fine Rugs presents a 21st-century Turkish Oushak 9×13 Handmade Area Rug. Oushak Weavings began in a location just south of Istanbul, in a region that was to become the Rugs namesake, Oushak. Although nomads first produced the rugs for personal use only, since the 15th century, Oushak was the center of significant production of Turkish rugs.
These elegant pieces were created by our in-house designers and woven by our expert weavers in Turkey with all hand-spun vegetable-dyed wool. This beautiful Oushak area rug has a Khaki-colored background with the design and details consisting of Gold, Ivory & Slate Blue. Being completely handwoven and made with all-natural vegetable dyes, these rugs are sheared and given about a 1/8″ to 1/4″ pile height to give an authentic antique look. Nonetheless, this is a great rug for a living space, bedroom, or wherever its look and size are desired.
