This Persian Tabriz includes an ivory background and a tan-colored border along with silk accents of light blue and rusty orange. The Haji Jalili workshops were world-renowned for producing impeccable Tabriz carpets during the latter part of the 19th century into the first quarter of the 20th century (1880-1915.) Once located in Tabriz (Northwest Persia), these workshops stood apart from their contemporaries for their exceptional ability to produce outstanding rugs. Because of their importance, Hadji Jalili Tabriz carpets were primarily woven for prominent families and elite institutions. A very elegant and timeless carpet. This piece was woven sometime in the last 20 years and is impeccable.
