Description
Description
Ashly Fine Rugs presents a 1980s Vintage Kasmiri All-Silk handmade rug. The origin of carpet weaving in Kashmir can be traced back to the 15th century when Sultan Zainul Abidin (popularly known as Budshah) brought some Persian craftsmen to the valley and trained locals in the art and craftsmanship. This piece is made entirely of silk from its foundation to its pile. It has a tantalizing warm red background that is the main color throughout the rug, along with a light blue border and central medallion with accents of white, Salmon, and peach. This rug is made from 100% Silk and is entirely handwoven. Despite its age, this Kashmiri Rug is in excellent condition with a healthy pile and without any damage or repair. Nonetheless, this piece would go great in a seating area, bedroom, or wherever its silk elegance is desired.
